(Nov. 1) - Filing closed Tuesday for seats on Sikeston City Council.

The seats up for appointment were: mayor held by Greg Turnbow, Ward 2 councilman held by Vest Baker and Ward 3 councilman held by David Teachout.

Turnbow, Baker and Teachout were all eligible for reelection and all three refiled. Nobody else filed for any of the three positions so the three incumbents will be unopposed on the April 2, 2024, ballot.
