Community Involvement
PSO Joey Henry on a school visit. The City of Sikeston Fire Division has an ongoing Fire Safety program through the Fire Marshall and the crews.  Our participation in the "Fill the Boot" Campaign has been very successful having the highest donations in the area.  The division tries to keep a close working relationship with the schools and the School Resource Officer program to further fire education to the youth of Sikeston. Fire Prevention Week
Fire Prevention Week is held every fall, and the Sikeston Fire Division has a number of activities during this time to help inform the community about fire safety. Our program encompasses the traditional elements such as "Stop, Drop & Roll" as well as some modifications.  Firefighters wearing bunker gear with self-contained breathing apparatus can sometimes be frightening to young children so we visit schools bringing both the fire truck and officers in full turn-out gear to familiarize children with what they may see should they be involved in a fire emergency.  Top of pageSikeston DPS Fire & Rescue
