Sikeston Pet and Animal Welfare Services (P.A.W.S.) is the City's animal shelter.

The shelter is located at 1900 Compress Road at BB Highway.

P.A.W.S. is open by appointment, in 30 minute intervals Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 1-4:30 p.m. To make an appointment, call 573-471-PETS.

The cost to adopt a cat is $50.
The cost to adopt heartworm-negative dogs is $145.
The cost to adopt heartworm-positive dogs with the ability to treat is $25.
