(Oct. 12) - Sikeston’s Annual Leaf Collection Program will begin Nov. 6 and run through Dec. 8.

During this time, residents can rake their leaves to the curb in the allotted time frame of the zone they live in. It must be leaves only and they must be placed within six feet of the curb. No bagged leaves will be accepted.

Sikeston’s leaf truck will then come by and vacuum up the leaves during the scheduled times. Zone 1 and 2 will be picked up Nov. 6-9, Zone 3 and 4 will be picked up Nov. 13-17, Zone 5 will be picked up Nov. 20-22, Zone 6 will be picked up Nov. 27-Dec. 1 and Zone 7 and 8 will be picked up Dec. 4-8. Your zone can be found by viewing the attached map.

From Dec. 11-21, the truck will pick up leaves by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling 573-475-3732.

There is also an optional leaf drop-off location Nov. 6-Dec. 21 at the Yard Waste Collection Site on Compress Road. This is by appointment only Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. excluding holidays. To make an appointment call 573-475-3732.
