WORK AT MAIN AND MALONE INTERSECTION: WHAT TO KNOW

• MoDOT began the first phase of work at Main and Malone today (Thursday, Jan. 5)
• The main improvement will be to replace signal bases, poles and signals while also making crossings ADA compliant.
• During the first phase of intersection improvements, right turn lanes will be closed at times to allow work on the light bases. The current traffic signals will remain in use as new concrete bases are poured and new signal equipment is installed.
• The intersection is not expected to ever be shut down entirely, but motorists should be prepared to detour when making right turns at times.
• Work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists should use extreme caution and be prepared for detours at times.
• The project will stretch into the fall and possibly early winter as a completion date is unknown at this time.
