Spring Clean-up dates set

The Annual Sikeston Community Clean-Up Campaign will be held beginning Saturday, April 22 and will conclude Sunday, April 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The compost site on Compress Road, will be open for Sikeston residents to bring any large or bulky items, rubbish, yard waste, grass clippings, washers, dryers, microwaves, refrigerators, hot water heaters, commodes, tires no larger than 18-inches without rims, and household furniture to the site for disposal.

Also, electric motors, rubber hoses, and compressors must be detached from appliances.

The site will be manned, and proof of residency will be required.

The following items will not be accepted: any hazardous materials or chemicals, asbestos materials, shingles, paint, LP tanks, fuel containers, demolition waste and batteries. No commercial dumping will be allowed.
