POSITION: Sikeston DPS Communications Officer

COMPENSATION: $34,270 (no experience); $38,320 (upon completion of training)

The City of Sikeston is seeking applications for the position of Sikeston Department of Public Safety Communication Officer. Communication officers protect citizens by dispatching the appropriate personnel to locations where violations of the law, suspicious activity, traffic accidents, injuries, fires, reckless driving, etc. are occurring. Communication officers are trained in a wide variety of emergency incidents and deal with high-stress situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent and candidate must reside within 30 miles of the Sikeston city limits. Candidate must have good interpersonal skills and have a positive attitude and high level of initiative.
