LCRA Properties for Sale

On April 3, 2001, Sikeston’s voters authorized the creation of the Land Clearance Redevelopment Authority (LCRA).  This Commission is charged with identifying “blighted” areas within Sikeston, developing, and implementing a plan to provide well-organized residential neighborhoods of decent homes.  Since implementation, several lots have been purchased and maintained by LCRA.

Listed below are several lots that LCRA have authorized for sale. Click on the pictures for a full view.  If you are interested in purchasing any of these lots, you may place a bid by clicking on the Place Bid link.  These forms may also be obtained at City Hall.  If you have any additional questions or concerns, please call 573-471-2512.

Terms and Conditions

To be conveyed by Special Warranty Deed, with Special Warranty of Title, and with Title Insurance.
     

Upon Seller’s acceptance of a written offer from Buyer, the Seller shall provide Buyer with Seller’s “Contract for Sale and Purchase of Real Estate”. The “Contract” shall, in part, obligate the Buyer to pay earnest money to escrow agent upon execution of the “Contract”, and to pay all Title Company search, commitment, premium and closing fees, and any recording fees, at closing. 

Within ten (10) days of the execution of a Contract by Seller and Buyer, Seller shall order a commitment to issue an Owner’s Policy of Title Insurance in the amount of the purchase price, naming Buyer as the insured, written by a title insurance company licensed in Missouri, which policy shall insure the owner’s title to be in the condition called for by the Contract.

Seller, nor any other person on Sellers’s behalf, has made, does not now make, nor in the future will make any oral or written representation, warranty, or agreement as to the value, condition quality or suitability of the real estate, fixtures or improvements, nor suitability for habitation or for any purpose.

At closing, the conveyance by Seller shall be “AS-IS”; by Special Warranty Deed, and subject to existing easements, utilities, rights of way, existing and/or of record, if any; and any city and county real estate taxes assessed and/or due or owing in year of closing.
